About me

After more than seven years in the music industry, I am now transitioning into web development.

Adaptable. Curious. Persistent.

My experiences as a touring musician and technician honed my skills as a highly adaptable and dependable team player, capable of learning new skills and implementing them with great success. After the Covid-19 epidemic shuttered the music industry, I decided to make a change so I could support and be near my family.

Unsure where to start, I began learning Python to understand the basic concepts of programming. HTML and CSS followed shortly thereafter. Once I began learning Flask, I realized that backend development immediately appealed to me. A quick survey of available jobs, however, lead me to pursue a different language. PHP, though not as popular as JavaScript, was just as ubiquitous for backend development. I therefore decided to focus my attention on the PHP ecosystem. With multiple well established CMS’s, frameworks, and a large supportive community, PHP became the perfect companion in my transition to becoming a backend web developer.
